SPECIAL EDITION: EXCLUSIVE

Today, 13th of November 2009, Friday, on 11.25 a.m, I was on my bed-just want to take a nap. Suddenly, a text message hit my inbox. I open the message, and… I don’t know what to say. I’m very happy, as if I’m given a second chance of living after a long death. For about 3 months, I’ve had a difficult life. But this message, had bring light to me. I get back my spirit to study.

I can imagine myself in the 3 months like going through a journey, and the darkness filled the atmosphere. Barely able to breath, I push myself to stand and keep making my step forward. There was a light, far, far away in front, and the light is barely being seen through the darkness. Then, I saw some people with a candle. I walk towards them, and I shout at them, asking for help. They didn’t see me. In the mean time, my voice is getting weaker. Like a blind man, I walk slowly and hope that somebody would hear my voice and come to give me a hand. At the edge of despair, suddenly I saw a little girl, came to me with a face of smile. At her hand, there was a candle, shining bright. She said, “Brother, look. I got a candle.” That beautiful smile gives me hope to continue my journey.

The message sounds, "Leh! (my nick name among the my siblings) Ak dpt 3.47 la! Hehe..tp cgpa 3.07.. Dpt gak la smbg law.tp muet lak sangkut." As I read that message, I felt so happy. Lately, I'm losing my spirit to study, like a man in despair. But the news had give me back the spirit. Thank to my sister! How could I possibly know that 'somebody' that I waited so long to give me back the spirit, motivation, and enthusiasm is actually my own sister. I almost think of making an appointment with the counselor, and I had asked help from all of my friends, but no one satisfy me.
Thank to my sister, and never forgettable, Allah, which send her to cheer me up again and give me back the strength. I'm going to keep moving from now on, and give my best shot in everything I do, especially in seeking the knowledge. Because, knowledge is the one that make a man survive, turning a beggar into a bachelor, and fill the darkness in the world with light.

Keep moving foward!

7 Thoughts That Are Bad For You

Our body will act according to our thought. Most people would think that our brain only controls our movements. However, most people don’t know that their brain (accurately, thought) also determine their health.
"The idea that behavior or personality traits can influence health is one that's been around for a long time. We're just now getting a handle on to what extent they do," said Stephen Boyle of Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina.
Today, I’ve found something interesting about 7 thoughts that are bad for us, written by Jeanna Bryner. According to her, mental factors are ultimately tied to physical health from those with a chill demeanor to the completely frazzled types. And while a highly neurotic person might deteriorate more quickly than others, and not every character trait will kill us, some might even boost lifetimes.
These are the 7 thoughts that are bad for us. I’ve made some change to the original articles to suits my blog. Let yourself be well informed so that you shall know about those bad thoughts and avoid of having them at anytime in your life.

Stress

This is the top rank of the bad thoughts that you should avoid – stress. Research is showing that prolonged stress can be deadly, and if it doesn't do you in, workplace stress can increase your chances of heart disease, flu virus, metabolic syndrome and having high blood pressure.
A study of nearly 700 Israeli workers found that those who experienced job burnout (when work stress becomes unmanageable) were nearly twice as likely as others to develop type 2 diabetes, in which a person's body becomes resistant to the sugar-regulating hormone called insulin.
And while a job promotion might boost your income, it also stresses you out. British researchers recently found that when people get promoted, they suffer on average about 10 percent more mental strain and are less likely to find time to go to the doctor.
If you get into depress situation-whether facing problems or getting angry, try to take this simple steps to get yourself into relaxation. First, take a deep breath (slowly) and exhale slowly. Do it again and again until you feel your heart beat turn back to normal state. Then, think the best solution to encounter the situation. Ideas appear easily when you're relax.

Gloom and Doom

Gloom –feelings of great unhappiness and loss of hope. The inhibited person is not just at a disadvantage socially, but also physically. A preliminary study of more than 180 patients suffering from peripheral arterial disease (plaque buildup in the arteries) showed participants with so-called type D, or distressed, personality, had an increased odds of dying sooner than other people. Type-D people are more likely to experience negative emotions while at the same time hold in their feelings. The researchers, who detail their work in the August issue of the journal Archives of Surgery, suggest the personality type is linked with the body's immune system as well as stress response system.
If you are this kind of people, don’t let the glooms be a part of your life and makes your world dull, full of despair, and weak. The only way to get out of this darkness is by getting a bright of cheerful life. You should cheer up your life by doing anything that you love to do. For instance, when you’re feeling gloomy during studying, you should take a rest and do something that can gain your cheer, instead of studying in that condition. You should try to make yourselves happy in most of times and try not to let the gloom dooms you. Enjoy your life!

Anxiety

The jitters can put a strain on your noggin, research suggests. Compared with the highly frazzled, individuals with a mellow demeanor who are outgoing may be less likely to develop dementia, which can be caused by Alzheimer's disease and other illnesses. The claim is based on a study that followed more than 500 elderly individuals for five years. Among the outgoing extroverts, dementia risk was 50 percent lower for participants who were calm compared with those who were prone to distress.

Lack of Self-control

Late for appointments? Can't keep your desk organized? No self-control? These seemingly benign qualities could take a toll on your health.
A review of more than 20 studies and nearly 9,000 participants revealed people who are conscientious -- organized and self-disciplined, as opposed to impulsive -- live two to four years longer than others. Study researcher Howard S. Friedman of the University of California, Riverside, suspects the boost in lifetime can be attributed partly to the fact that highly conscientious individuals are less likely to smoke or drink to excess and live more stable and less stressful lives. The study is detailed in a 2008 issue of the journal Health Psychology.

Fretting

People who are highly neurotic -- constantly worried and anxious and prone to depression -- die sooner on average than their chill counterparts. And a recently reported study of nearly 1,800 men followed over a 30-year period suggests that's partly because neurotics are also more likely to smoke. Perhaps having a cigarette eases anxiety, said study researcher Daniel Mroczek of Purdue University in Indiana, adding that such a short-term payoff might not be worth it if it kills you down the line.

Lack of Meaning

If you lack a sense of purpose, your stay on Earth could be truncated. A study involving more than 1,200 elderly participants who didn't have dementia at the study's start found that those who indicated having a high purpose in life were about half as likely to die over the study period, which lasted up to five years. The results, published in the June 15 issue of the journal Psychosomatic Medicine, held regardless of a person's age, sex, education and race, along with level of depression and neuroticism.
"Persons with high purpose readily derive meaning from and make sense of the events of their lives, and likely engage in behaviors and activities that they deem important," said study researcher Patricia Boyle of the Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center in Chicago.
Some other research has suggested that people with a higher sense of purpose may have different levels of stress hormones, better heart health or improved immune systems, though more research is needed to firm up any of these biological mechanisms, she said.
The opposite also holds: "The findings from our study suggested that people who no longer set and work actively toward goals or enjoy their day-to-day activities (how they spend their time) are those with greater mortality risk," Boyle told LiveScience.

Cynicism

Cynics who tend to be suspicious and mistrustful of others, a character trait that scientists refer to as hostility, may have an increased likelihood of developing heart disease. "These aren't necessarily hot-headed people, but people who are more likely to read into people's behavior as some hostile motive," Stephen Boyle said during a telephone interview.
In a study of more than 300 Vietnam veterans who were healthy at the study start, Boyle found that those who scored high on measures of hostility were about 25 percent more likely to develop heart disease.
Boyle and his colleagues think that hostile individuals might experience more stress, which can cause spikes in an immune-system protein called C3 that has been linked with various diseases, including diabetes. In fact, the participants with higher scores on hostility showed an increase in these proteins while the non-hostile men showed no such increase.

LONELY

There are people outside there who always in their own world. They are people who are lonely just by themselves. Not because of their dislike of being among the society, but the only reason for being like that is because they simply don't have anybody care about them. As if being ignoraned by people, they live in the middle of crowds with their heart crying..and crying..

Didn't they have any friends? Actually, yes. They have a lot of friend, but lack of companion. It is right what old people says, "We can find millions of friends, but a companion somehow hard to find one, or might not appear in our life even once". This kind of people are always care about others try to make people around them happy, and the reason for doing that is not for personnel profit, but just for those people around them. Deep into their heart, they want the world filled with happiness with all people cheers all the times. Despite that, they themselves are always alone. No body beside them when they need somebody. Anybody want to accompany them? There is no answer for that question. Their feelings, wants, and even heart are left alone.

Sometimes, come voices out of nowhere, deep in their heart of sorrow, whispering to them, keep telling that there are no body concern about them. Those voice of sudden-the only voice that talk to them when they are alone, always want to let them to despair.

"You're crying, huh? Don't your friends and those people around you care about you? Of course they aren't. No body cares about you. Who cares? Who are you? You just a trash, taken by people to wipe their feces! Don't you understand? You're nothing. Then, just die. There, you'll enter the world of piece and tranquility. No body to be concerned about..You, just by yourself..Alone.."

The voices always says something like that. At this rate, the loner might be; hear and act to the whisper, or fight by their heart. However, not many of them could fight the whisper for ever. Perhaps, some might turns insane, where some others commit suicide because of the devil's whisper.

However, for those loners, there are way out to their lonely. That is the God. The only one who cares about us, accompany us, and lend us hand whenever we face problems. Yes, He always with us. There are always light in the darkness.

We might have nobody accompany us, but believe that God is always by our side. Cheer up ourselves, because He always listen to us, know our suffer, and concern about us. Just because we can't hear His voices nor see Him, doesn't mean that He doesn't exist at all. We can't see nor hear voice of the gravity that keep attracting us to the earth, but we can feel the existence. He always there with us. Keep cheer the world, although no body concern about you, but there are always God who really cares about you.

"Oh,Allah, don't left me behind. Please accompany me. I'm rather like to be alone, accompanied by you than lost in crowds of peoples who are just like me-don't know others feel and helpless.. Oh Allah, let me be always remember You every time, anywhere. So that You wouldn't forget me in the day of ETERNAL..Ameen."
